GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT . . .
(Shelby)
I waited until the night he tried to kill
me.
Waking up in the hospital I was banged
and battered, but I wasn't broken. The wreck had been fatal but miraculously I
had been spared with only bumps and bruises. He wanted to kill me. He said so
as he hit me then dragged me out and threw me into the truck.
Now he was dead.
He was dead and I was free.
AND NEW BEGINNINGS ARE OFTEN DISGUISED AS
PAINFUL ENDINGS (Lau Tzu) . . .
(Wolf)
There was no way this ending could begin
anything good for me.
The moment it took me to get to her
seemed an eternity. As I approached I could feel myself losing every part of me
that was ever good or happy. The drunk who hit her never even slowed down as he
plowed through the intersection, running the red light and stealing my life.
HOW DO YOU FIND STRENGTH TO CONTINUE WITH
A LIFE THAT HAS DEALT SUCH PAIN. YOU NEVER KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE UNTIL BEING
STRONG IS THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE.
